HAF Projects
Based on the most commonly expressed priorities of rural Moroccan communities, the High Atlas Foundation focuses on development projects in four core areas:

- Fruit Tree Planting
Moroccans are adept farmers, but many do not take advantage of fruit tree agriculture which is lucrative and environmentally friendly. Providing communities with fruit trees enables families to increase their household income by 150% and further their relations with local markets.

- Potable Water
Potable water is a top priority in maintaining a community’s health and preventing infant mortality. By simply constructing water basins with pipes connected to households, infant mortality can be cut in half.

- Irrigation
Currently, most water canals built for irrigation are made of earth. Water evaporates and seeps out, reducing usual levels by one-third. Cement canals deliver more water to previously dry land, increasing agricultural productivity and providing the opportunity to build service centers in remote areas, such as women’s cooperatives, schools and health clinics.

- Women and Youth
Centers that develop the skills of women and youth are essential to ahieving a prosperous and sustainable future. These projects also have an especially high rate of success for the benefit of families.
The High Atlas Foundation helped to support the followng projects:
- Building women's centers outside of Taza, and in Taferdoust and Ouanskra outside of Marrakech
- Fruit tree Planting in Ait Mohammed, outside Marrakech, and the Rural Communes of Asni, Ourgaine and Toubkal in the High Atlas Mountains
- Building an irrigation basin and olive tree planting in Ait Wafqa and other areas outside of Tafraoute, south of Agadir
- and other projects
