Farmer-to-Farmer

 

In July 2019, HAF launched the 45-month Farmer-to-Farmer program with the United States Agency of International Development (USAID). Since then, the program has facilitated exchanges of over 70 agricultural experts from the United States to provide hands-on training to communities, cooperatives, agribusinesses, and educational institutions in Morocco.

 

These volunteers engage in all phases of the agricultural development value chain, including tree and plant nurseries, irrigation, cooperative building, food safety, and commercialization of processed products.

The program is shaped by the specific needs of the program’s participants. Partnerships through the F2F program have focused on a wide variety of skill sharing and trainings: nursery design and expansion, irrigation and water solutions, agricultural business plans, organic certification, and product processing and sales.
