A picture-perfect Sunday morning welcomed HAF’s March Eat-Drink-Share, set in Washington, D.C. at Georgetown’s Puro Cafe. A delicious brunch united ten Americans and their shared passion for Morocco. Several returned Peace Corps Volunteers working in D.C., and one person en route to live and work in Morocco expressed interest to get involved in helping HAF in various different ways. Photographer/RPCV, Ms. Leslie Andrus, and HAF Board Member, Charlie Kellett began collecting photos of Morocco for a book to highlight and support HAF’s work. As Peace Corps celebrates its 50th anniversary, much discussion revolved around the Third Goal which HAF supports with every Eat-Drink-Share event, by sharing Morocco with Americans. Everyone shared good ideas about how to engage US and Moroccan citizens to support HAF’s rural economic development.
